What kind of ticket are available?
Admission with a full price ticket
Admission with student tickets: applies to students up to the age of 28 and only in conjunction with a valid ID card
Tickets at tables: Please note that, without exception, two seats are sold as a pair. The purchase is only possible in combination with admission tickets.

Where can I get my tickets?
You can order your tickets online in the shop from 13 November 2023 and choose between collection and delivery. We accept bank transfer, Paypal or credit cards; it is not possible to reserve tickets. Additional tickets will only be issued at the ticket office subject to availability and cash payment.

When will I receive my tickets?
The tickets will be sent by mail from 8 January 2024.
If you choose to collect your tickets, you will receive your paid tickets at our ticket office in the Stadtkino im Künstlerhaus (Akademiestraße 13, 1010 Vienna). The opening hours are 8-26 January 2024, Monday to Friday, 3pm to 6pm.
There is NO BOX OFFICE on the evening of the ball itself!

Can I return my tickets?
Please note: Ball tickets cannot be returned or exchanged once they have been purchased, as they are excluded from the right of cancellation according to Austrian law. See point 7 of our General Terms and Conditions.

What is the dress code?
The dress code is part of the overall design of a Viennese ball. That is why it is so important for us to adhere to the dress code. Permitted are: Ball gown, tailcoat, floor-length evening dress, dinner jacket aka tuxedo, (knee-length) cocktail dress, (exclusively) black suit or gala uniform. No gender-specific dress code applies.

How can I participate in the Opening Committee?
The opening committee is put together by the Kraml Dance School. If you are interested, please send an e-mail to office@tanzschulekraml.at

Are there any special offers for attending the ball?
There are reduced prices for ball visitors at our partner hotel Sans Souci, on Lufthansa Group flights and the national train carrier ÖBB. You can find information on this under the menu item Partners.

When will the programme be published?
The exact program will be published two weeks before the ball on www.wissensball.at. The highlights will be continually updated in the blog.

Important information for the night of the ball
The Vienna Ball of Sciences has been held at Vienna City Hall since 2015.

The Vienna Science Ball has been taking place in Vienna City Hall since 2015.

Have your tickets ready upon entry. Photos, scans and the like will not be accepted. If you have a student card, please also have your ID ready.

Doors open at 8 p.m., the ball starts at 9 p.m. and ends at 4 a.m.
There is enough space in the cloakrooms.
There is a taxi stand in front of the Lichtenfelsgasse entrance at the end of the ball.
